Elisa Blommer

Elisa Blommer was recently honored by the Boise Women’s & Children’s Alliance with a 2010 Tribute to Women & Industry Award (TWIN). The purpose of TWIN is twofold: to honor women who have excelled in their fields and made significant contributions to industry in executive, managerial, and professional roles; and to salute corporations whose policies and practices encourage high achievement by women. Blommer is a proposal process manager in Boise, Idaho, and will celebrate 25 years with the firm in October 2010.

Mark Chrzanowski

Mark Chrzanowski, a principal technologist In Gainesville, Florida, for the Water Business Group, presided as chairman for the first American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 329, Performance Criteria for Ready Mixed Concrete in March. ACI 329 is a new committee formed by ACI to provide guidance for executing concrete work based upon specifying a product’s desired end result in place of traditional requirements. In addition, ACI 329 will incorporate sustainable practices to new levels in this industry.

Dirk Draper

Dirk Draper, a vice president and area manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was recently appointed to a second term as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Kathleen Hum

Kathleen Hum, staff consultant with the Water Business Group, has been awarded the Water Environment Association of Ontario's Outstanding New Professional Award. This annual award recognizes the contributions of new professionals to the Ontario, Canada wastewater industry. Hum accepted the award at the 39th Annual WEAO Technical Symposium and OPCEA Exhibition in London, Ontario, Canada on April 19.

Cayman James

Cayman James, an associate project manager with the Industrial Services Business Group in Atlanta, Georgia, was named the Outstanding Young Alumna at the Georgia Tech 2010 Gold & White Honors on February 1 in Atlanta. The Gold & White Honors are the most prestigious awards given by the Georgia Tech Alumni Association in recognition for outstanding contributions on campus, in communities, and to mankind. As a student, James was a President’s Scholar and student ambassador.

Gareth Lifton, a senior principal management consultant and head of asset management for CH2M HILL Canada, was recently elected by Canadian Network of Asset Managers (CNAM) to serve on the Executive Board. CNAM is a non-profit association established in 2009 to promote industry awareness, innovation, and knowledge transfer to municipal/utility infrastructure asset management principles and practices among operational and strategic municipal practitioners.

Mike Paddock

Mike Paddock, PE, PS, a senior transportation project manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, received the Engineers Without Borders-USA (EWB-USA) Founder’s Award in March 2010. Paddock was honored for his more than five years of volunteer service to the EBW-USA organization. As a volunteer mentor and advisor, Paddock provides meaningful learning opportunities and positively impacts the lives of countless students and young professionals, a core mission of the organization.

Jessica Prince

Jessica Prince, an associate engineer in the Water Business Group in San Diego, California, was selected as the 2009 Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer for the San Diego section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Prince is highly involved in the San Diego section of ASCE's Younger Member Forum, and has served as scholarship chair, secretary, and chaired their annual Engineering Day event, an outreach program for kids to learn more about engineering.

Elizabeth Ridley

Elizabeth Ridley, a sales manager in the Water Business Group, serves her local community as the President of the Board of Directors for Marin County Arts Council, Marin, California. After numerous hours of hard work by Ridley and fellow Council members, the Marin Arts Council will move into a permanent gallery that will house a series of revolving exhibits and events all year long. Ridley and the Council are sponsors of The Marin Arts Open 2010 beginning May 1.

Porie Saikia-Eapen

Porie Saikia-Eapen, a senior client sales manager and New York City, New York area manager, has been granted a Fellowship of Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Saikia-Eapen accepted this honor in Ascot, UK, on February 4 at the CIOB Presentation Ceremony. Being selected a Fellow is an honor bestowed to either a chartered member or an individual specifically identified by CIOB who has made significant contributions in the industry. Her accomplishments in industry, academia, and CIOB were noted.

Bruce Strupp

Bruce Strupp, Design Technology Director from Atlanta, Georgia, was honored with the Superior Technical Achievement Award (STAR) for his outstanding support and valuable contributions to Fully Integrated and Automated Technology (FIATECH), a consortium of industries and companies from the industrial, power, and retail markets. Strupp was commended for his ability to keep various projects, teams, and people working in a coordinated way and driven to a common goal. The award was presented at the 2010 Technology Conference and Showcase in Austin, Texas.

David Sutherland

David Sutherland, Director of Strategic Workforce Planning and Reporting in Denver, Colorado, has been appointed to the 2010 Executive Advisory Board of the Human Capital Institute. He will serve on the Workforce Planning Board Committee along with representatives from Motorola, Google, Raytheon, and McKesson Corporation. Sutherland has considerable experience delivering metrics on all aspects of the global workforce, creating companywide headcount forecasts, and driving the assessment of skill levels for critical positions.

Faye Tate

Faye Wilson Tate, Vice President and Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion, was recognized as an honoree at the Trumpet Awards ceremony’s High Tea with High Heels event in Atlanta, Georgia on January 30. The Trumpet Awards constitute one of the most prestigious, national awards ceremonies highlighting African-American accomplishments and contributions. Tate, who is based out of the Denver, Colorado office, was recognized for her career accomplishments and the achievements she inspires in others.
